SF was bonkers today (pride parade). Of course, I had to drive into the eye of the storm. I am so tired, will respond to emails tomorrow.

Just got back from a beautiful day in SF with Natasha. Went to the Vivienne Westwood exhibit (awesome...the dresses and gowns were beautiful). Thanks to Melanie, we got into the museum for free and only had to pay $5 for the exhibit (normally $15). Ms. Westwood had a great quote on the wall, 'You have a much better life if you wear impressive clothes.'

1. I smell my food before eating it. Totally subconsciously…but everyone I know tells me I do it. I guess what you’re eating needs to smell good.

2. I have crazy vivid dreams and talk in my sleep. Last night I was apparently shouting about horses in the stables; the night before I was talking about gold watches.

3. I’m bi-racial identified. Even though I’m not. In day to day life, I kinda think it matters more what people think you are (and how they treat you) than what you actually are.

4. I garden. And that, in and of itself is hard for most people to believe.

5. I am unable to say “NO”. This adds a million layers of stress to my life, as I’m often running around trying to do more things than I have time for.

6. I talk to animals like they can understand me. And I have a cat that does yoga with me in the mornings.

7. For a long time, I was in love. With a bass player. I thought we were going to be together and have kids. After 7 years apart, I think we’re finally cool. Time does kill the pain.

8. I think a few people know this already, but I was on the radio for about 10 years and dj’ed in clubs (during a time when people still played records). I have literally thousands of records.

9. I walk on the balls of my feet. This was fine when I was 2 years old, but after years of dancing on it and walking in high heels, I finally developed sesamoiditis (an excruciating form of tendonitis). That was the end of my dance career but thankfully the beginning of yoga.

10. Analog girl in a digital world: I still have a boombox from ’89 and a cassette player in my car. Tapes that have been in the car for years: INXS’ Shabooh Shobaah, New Order’s Power Corruption & Lies, De La Soul’s 3 Ft High & Rising, A Tribe Called Quest’s Low End Theory.

the woman has survived, at least so far. and they have identified her. still a terribly shaken vibe in the neighborhood. they've erected a large fence (thank goodness, it's a school for little kids, too!) and there is a little memorial of candles there every night.

EXCUSE ME? how many times have i been outbid in the last 6 seconds? Too many times to count. That's why it's an auction site-you win some, you lose some. And how many times have I not even bid on something because it was someone on lamb lovers??? I would understand if I did this all the time to people, but honestly, I usually am the only one bidding on the stuff I end up getting.

I am not surprised...this week has just been full of people wigging out in bitchiness for no reason. I am just typing this in here so I don't respond and escalate things unnecessarily...

luckily I have one of the neatest contractors ever, cause he's had to do this to a couple of walls. This is our bedroom. No bathroom sink this week (but veeeerrryyy happy it will soon be functional without draining out all over the floor). Still haven't gotten a quote for all of this work (the $8000 was for the outside problems!!) I am praying for the strength to control myself and not purchase lamb...

oh, lamb.com...i received carlos & zury's box today. i had ordered one tee, but it didn't come in. one of their shirts was a tank instead of a tee. and i got part of someone else's order (so maybe my tee went to someone else. did anyone get a black chrysan. tee in med that they didn't order?) not to mention previous order that was missing an item too. this is becoming such a ridiculous topic, that it's stupid to even post it. but i just need to write it down so i will stop thinking about it. i have emailed them a few times, but no response. i hope they at least credit me for the stuff they didn't ship...is this payback for charging things on my cc that i shouldn't have? lol
